The River and the Sea

About the River and the Sea – Palestinian Stories about Water and Healing was a collaborative artistic laboratory developed by World Opera Lab in collaboration with Fragments Theatre in Jenin, Palestine. The project brought together six female artists from Palestine and the Netherlands, alongside Rawand Arqawi and Miranda Lakerveld. Together, they explored stories, songs, rituals, and memories connected to water, looking at how cultural heritage can create spaces for healing, connection, and resilience. The laboratory resulted in open artistic sessions and a new interactive musical ritual, bringing Palestinian stories and experiences into a cross-cultural dialogue with artists and audiences in the Netherlands.
